Instructional strand
This program is also referred to as Instructional with the emphasis on having FUN while learning basic skills.
The Pre-school program has no pre-requisites.  Players will be taught skills from the initial stages of standing on skates,  getting up using their sticks, to the basics of skating and small surface games.  The Initiation programs is a skill based program to introduce the game of hockey to our 4 to 6 year old players.  It is recommended that players be able to stand and move on their skates before entering this program.

Both the Pre-School and Initiation programs focus on basic skating skill development and instruction through various games and station based activities.  In late December, players are initiated to the structure of a hockey game on a half ice surface with an increase focus on positioning and the rules of the game. This program prepares our players for the Tyke and Novice House League.

Convenor for the I.P./Tyke  program is vacant.   Interested persons should contact  RANDY HUGGINS our house league director at their earliest convenience. Because of the nature of the program, many on-ice volunteers are required to create station based activities. Volunteers are required to have OMHA certification and a PRS. Contact Randy Huggins by Email for more information.
