As it says below, "It's not what you do with puck, it's what you do without the puck."  Well, this team of young men certainly understand that philosophy.

They are working as hard as they can to be the best that they can be, and they are doing a fantastic job.

The Port Colborneanother_team_modo.PNG Bantam #2 Team sponsored by Metal Roofs Niagara and Claire's Delivery Service, had another great performance on Tuesday evening when they posted their second shutout win in as many games in the Henderson Pharmacy Hockey Tournament in Thorold.   This was actually their third shutout win in a row when you include their last regular season game they played before coming to Thorold for this tournament.

These boys are playing unbelievable!!!!

Their opponent on this night were the Thorold Black Hawks #2 team, and the boys certainly showed up to play as they defeated their opponents 8 – 0 giving Ryan his 2nd shutout in a row.

There was no scoring in the first period, but just 9 seconds into the second period, Lukas won the face off to himself and danced in to bulge the twine and start the scoring.  Less than two minutes later, Mason scored his first goal of the tourney, and just 11 seconds later Lukas scored his second goal of the game on another great second effort, but it wasn’t over there…because a minute after thatteam_modo.PNG goal, Lukas completed his hat trick to make the score 4 – 0 going into the third period.

The boys skated into the last stanza of the game adding another four goals, and taking a commanding lead that would guarantee them another victory in the 2nd game of the same day.

Mason and Jonathan gelled with one another displaying a fantastic give and go passing play that ended up with Mason scoring his second goal of the game.  Two minutes later, Jack set up Dillan to take a great shot on an almost impossible angle to make the score 6 – 0.  Four minutes later, Conner picked up a loose puck in the circle and he fired it home for his contribution to the scoring.  Then with only a minute and eleven seconds left, Dillan scored his second goal of the game from the slot that finally rewarded him for his hard work throughout the day.

Every team member contributed to this team’s win with all their efforts throughout the game; every kid did their part to secure the victory.

This team is playing awesome!!!   Keep up the hard work boys, because hard work results in great success.
