Vic Teal Tournament Recap
The Port Colborne Atom Sailors Participated in the Vic Teal Tournament this past weekend in St.Catharines and came away as the 2018 Champions!
The Sailors Started their third straight tournament the same way they started their previous two tournaments with a tie against the Woodstock Navy Vets who tied the game late in the third period 1-1. The Sailors next game was a 9-1 drubbing over the Petrolia Oilers. Game 3 was another blowout victory over the Norwich Knighthawks 7-1, needing only a tie over the Merritton Bulldogs to advance to the finals the Sailors dominated the game and beat the bulldogs 6-3. In a rematch of the tournament opener the Sailors and Navy Vets met for the second time this time the Sailors came out on top 4-1 and extended their winning streak to a season high 4 games. The Sailors scored a whopping 27 goals in 5 games and only surrendered 7. The Coaching staff is extremely happy with the teams effort. The Sailors will try to extend their winning streak to 5 when they travel to play the Glanbrook Rangers for the first game of 2019 on January 5.
