It's Finally Time To Skate
Submitted By Matt Lallouet on Monday, September 21, 2020
We know everyone is anxiously awaiting the start of the 2020/2021 hockey season. We want to thank you for your patience during this process. As you can imagine, it has been a very different start to the season than in previous years due to Covid

That being said We are extremely excited to announce that we will get underway with our first ice times set for Saturday September 26.

Our program this year will be different than what we typically expect from a hockey season but we have some great additions this year. We have partnered with Jay McKnight who will be running on ice development and training our coaches to deliver skills and drills to the players.  As well as goalie coach Nick Vittuci who will be working with our netminders. We are also providing an opportunity to participate in dry land training that will be developed by Nick Tamburri and equipment and space to train is available to all teams at the Vale. Ice schedules and times will be published to the website.

Initial ice times are posted here but are NOT FINALIZED with regards to which players will take which times. This info will be available shortly. And the website updated accordingly.

  A few important notes:

With our season abruptly ending in March we are still missing a number of hockey jerseys. Please bring them with you to your first ice time and bring a practice jersey to go on the ice. It is important that we get all of these back as soon as possible.

Please also check your registration. There was a glitch with Hockey Canada and not all

registrations have gone through. We suspect it is involving registrations attempted on mobile devices. Make sure you have checked out your cart inside our registration page. If you need assistance contact Matt Lallouet via our Facebook group or [email protected].

Lastly, with the restrictions placed on us as a result of COVID-19 we will not be allowed to have any spectators at this time. In conjunction with the city, the OHF, OMAHA and our health boards we have developed and implemented mandatory protocols. Please be respectful of these requirements. Not doing so, can and will  jeopardize everyone's season.  Anyone caught not complying will result in suspension of their child, a prorated refund, and a loss of their season NO EXCEPTIONS.

We are working to provide a streaming service as an option  to our families, so that they can view on ice activities remotely. More to come on this in the near future.

The season may not be what we’re used to, and we know things can change rapidly but we do our best to  remain flexible and provide  the kids with the sport they love.

Yours in Hockey
PCMHA Executive
