PCMHA Pauses Season Effective Today
Submitted By Admin on Sunday, December 19, 2021
After serious consideration and with a very heavy heart, the PCMHA has decided to pause our hockey season effective immediately.

The reason for this decision is that there has been an increase of close contact cases within our own association although none have come back positive. As of this morning 5 of our teams are affected and thankfully our athletes are so far healthy and symptom free. This is simply a precautionary measure and an attempt to avoid an OMHA full shut down.

Sometimes humility is the best approach, and we also want our families home with loved ones for the holidays and healthy.
The pause will take effect as of 10 am Dec 19 and will be revisited Sunday Dec 26. Should cases cease and the executive feels it is safe to reopen our schedule, we will inform everyone by Monday morning. Otherwise we review on a week by week basis.
It is 100% our intent to keep hockey moving forward but only with the best interest and health of our players in mind.If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me directly.

Have a safe and happy holiday break.

Sincerely,
Tim Charles
2nd VP PCMHA
