Body Checking Clinics will be offered, at no cost, to registered Port Colborne Minor Hockey players with the birth year of 2009 & 2010, entering the 2023-2024 U15 Season.
David Cullen will be hosting a body checking clinic for Port Colborne Minor Hockey.
These clinics are designed to instruct players on how to properly use body contact and will teach them how to protect themselves in different areas on the ice. Drills will teach players how to angle opponents increasing their ability to separate the opposing player from the puck. Players will work on pushing back and absorbing hits as they enter the boards, teaching them how they can use their body to protect themselves while in vulnerable areas. Shooting, skating and stickhandling will also be incorporated into the skates.
TENTATIVE SESSION DATES
#1: March 31st 6:30pm to 8:00 pm (1.5HRS)
#2: April 2nd 2:00pm to 3:00pm (1HR)
