A few notes on Luc Lobsinger;
· Luc Lobsinger enters his fourth season working with the Brock Badgers Men’s Hockey team. He will also be returning for his second season coaching the Brock Women’s team’s goaltenders.
· Over the course of his four seasons with the Men’s team at Brock Lobsinger has served as a Graduate Assistant Coach, Assistant Coach, and Goalie Coach Consultant respectively. Highlights from his tenure include Dalton McGrath (2012-2014) setting both all-time (.914) and single season (.917) save percentage bests for any starting goalie in the school’s history. Additionally, Clint Windsor (2014-present) posted a .916 save percentage last season, just narrowly missing out on tying McGrath’s record and placing him second on that list.
· In addition to working with the Men’s and Women’s teams at Brock, Mr. Lobsinger also works with various minor hockey organizations and young goaltenders throughout the Niagara region. For the last two years, he has worked with Ed Burkholder’s Hockey Clinic right here in Port Colborne. Mr. Lobsinger has also served as a goalie coach for the Niagara Ice Dogs of the OHL and for the U18 Swiss Women’s World Championship team.
· Prior to pursuing coaching, Lobsinger graduated from Brock University with a degree in Physical Education in 2012 and is currently completing his Master’s at the same institution. Before attending Brock, Lobsinger played three seasons as a goaltender with both the Mississauga and Niagara Ice Dogs in the OHL.
