We're Going To The Fianls
Monday night was upon the young peewee team when the coach asked them all if they wanted to play a few more games or pack it in for summer sports.  They were full of spirit when they barked back at the coach stating loud and clear that they wanted to play some more hockey, and that they did.  After defeating West Lincoln Wrath in a tie-breaker game, The Peewee #1 Red Team, sponsored by Smith Industrial Supply, will move on to play the Niagara on the Lake Wolves in the Niagara District Local League Group 'B' Finals.

The coach set the tone stating that they had to score quickly and skate hard every second that they were on the ice.  The coaches message was well received because the team scored the first goal only a minute and half into the game.  Kaleb got the goal with the assists going to Charlie and Kyle.  Three minutes later, Dangles Birrell bagged one with helpers going to Dillan and Kohl.

Off to the second period where the Smith Industrial  Sailors took a demanding 3 - 0 lead when Conner scored with helpers going to Rob and Jack.  This kind of put a stranglehold on the game, but the Wrath wouldn't give up easily.  They forced Keatan to make some very good saves throughout the the remainder of the game to secure the win, but half way through the second stanza they solved Keaton by putting one behind him, making the score 3 - 1.

The Sailors were very strong throughout the whole game and it showed; three and a half minutes into the third period, Evan got a pass from Darius and went coast to coast scoring over top of the outstretched pad of the Wrath tender to make the score 4 - 1.  With less than a minute left in the game, West Lincoln tried with all their might to take advantage of the situation; they had a power-play and pulled their goalie, and after making a couple nice stops they plugged the biscuit past Keatan to make the score 4 - 2.  That was as close as they would get to the Sailors team and they earned the victory to move onto the Finals against Niagara on the Lake.

A fantastic effort to keep on playing, and striving to that `B`Championship that they so want to conquer.
