Rick Vaive will be at the Vale Health & Wellness Centre

for a short time at around 11:30 AM on Saturday November 23rd. 

He be signing autographs and talking with anyone who wants speak with him.

Rick Vaive, is most likely, remembered as the first 50-goal scorer in Toronto Maple Leafs franchise history.

He was drafted 5th overall by the Vancouver Canucks in the 1979 NHL Draft.  Rick played 14 seasonsin the NHL for 4 di
fferent teams (Vancouver Canucks, Toronto Maple Leafs, Chicago Black Hawks, and the Buffalo Sabres).  Rick was known as a tough, high scoring right winger who earned a lot of success in the NHL.  Rick's statistics were very impressive throughout his career.  He played a total of 930 games total in the Regular Season and Playoffs scoring 468 Goals and 363 Assists for 831 Points.  His best years were playing for the  Toronto Maple Leafs where he scored 54 Goals during the 1981-82 Season, and then 51 and 52 Goals in the next two seasons.  Rick was the captain of the Leafs from the 81-82 Season to the 85-86 Season.
